There are no plans to release it in the app store for the time being. If
you want to try it out, please install the APK file below (Android 8 or
later)
A3DGS3D-1.00.apk
Notes,
This application runs completely locally, but internally, the web application
is executed using an in-app browser (WebView). WebView has a fixed amount
of memory that can be used regardless of the device's memory footprint,
and opening a large model may cause a crash. Please enjoy with a small
model that does not crash.
If the USB-C port is DP Alt mode compatible and the device is capable of
displaying on Looking Glass, it is possible to switch to the web application
for Looking Glass (3DGS to LKG) in the settings, but it has been confirmed
that it does not work on some devices such as Google Pixel. If it does
not work, please give up.
This application is equipped with a web application that converts and displays
3D Gaussian splatting into 3D images such as SBS and anaglyphs, and a web
application that displays them on the Looking Glass.
3D Gaussian splatting is a new scanning method that can reproduce photorealistic
3D scenes and can be created with a smartphone or PC. With this app, you
can load a 3D Gaussian splatting file (.ply .splat), display it in your
favorite 3D format, and enjoy 3D images from various perspectives with
touch operation.
When the USB-C port is connected to a model that supports DP Alt mode,
3D display on the smart glasses and viewpoint control via touch operation
of the connected Android are possible when the smart glasses are connected.
In addition, by switching the web application to g3DGS to LKGh and loading the calibration file (visual.json) of the connected Looking Glass, multiple viewpoints can be displayed on the Looking Glass.
