File/Command Line Preferences

This allows a stereo format and viewing method to be specified so that the movie may be opened and displayed correctly outside of 'StereoMovie Player'.

The Input Stereo Types available are Side-by-side, Interlaced and Above/Below.

The viewing methods available are Source, Side, Side-by-side and Anaglyph.
After these values are set, images may be correctly opened and displayed by dragging the file onto the SMP icon.

You may also drag the file onto the SMP window.

Other options are double-clicking the filename (if SMP has been associated with the file extension) or by including the filename in a command-line.

For example, 'stvplye.exe d:\movies\test.avi' will open and display the movie 'test.avi' located in the folder d:\movies.

Although not recommended practice, SMP can handle spaces in the file-path and/or the filename without requiring enclosing quotation-marks.

For example,
stvplye.exe "C:\Program Files\SPM\flower.avi" or
stvplye.exe C:\Program Files\SPM\flower.avi

RGB mode is useful if you are having problems playing non-RGB modes (such as YUY2).
These modes can cause problems with some graphic cards, drivers, etc., resulting in slowed-down playback, top and bottom reversed, etc.
Although of lower performance, you should have fewer problems with RGB mode.

Full-Screen Mode allows you to view movies fullscreen regardless of native resolution.
No toolbars or menu bars are displayed and you should press 'Esc' or 'Enter' to return to SMP or press 'F1' to display this Help information:-

If you are displaying side-by-side movies in 'GDI' mode and the left/right movies are not completely filling the screen width,
you may use the 'E' key to toggle between narrow, medium and wide spacing.

Checking the 'IE Context Menu' allows you to right-click on a website-link to a movie, choose 'Open with SMP' and download and automatically open the movie with StereoMovie Player.

..........

You will be prompted for a filename and folder and the download status will be displayed on a progress-bar at the top of the screen.

If you have a firewall, you will need to allow SMP to access the 'Net.
When using a local browser with your local filing system (hard-disk, CD or DVD), the download dialog-box will not be displayed.
Some sample movies are available here.
You must have the appropriate codecs installed.
There are links to MPEG4, DivX and XVid codecs at the above link.

'Setup Context Menu' allows you to add or remove StereoMovie Player to the 'Send To' menu when you right-click on a movie icon.
