Multi Rename...

'Multi Rename' allows the user to select some or all image-files (of the same file-type) in a folder and batch-convert their names by adding letters,deleting letters or exchanging letters (e.g._L.JPG -> _R.JPG).
The supported file-types are JPS,DAS,BMI,JPG,STJ,BMP,TIF .
'Show Preview' displays a thumbnail of the selected image-file.

The 'Full Rename' option is particularly useful for digital camera images.
The filenames in the folder are alphanumerically sorted and you then specify the pretext letters of the new name, the starting-number for the sequence and the post-text letters in the three fields of the 'Full Rename' option.
There is no need to select the files, simply click 'Rename All Files' If you wish to retain the original image numbers use the '*' wildcard character instead of a starting number.

IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU BACKUP THE FILES BEFORE RENAMING.

The number of files you wish to rename will be displayed and you will be asked to confirm the conversion.

Examples :-

IMG_0208_L.JPG -> autumn_walk0001L.JPG (fields are autumn_walk, 0001 and L.JPG)
IMG_0209_L.JPG -> autumn_walk0002L.JPG

IMG_0208_L.JPG -> autumn_walk0208L.JPG (fields are autumn_walk, * and L.JPG)

For subsequent batch-processing or browsing, there is no need to merge the left and right images into a single folder.
